Edinburgh Tournament - Spring 2008
First Scottish Tournament of the year, held at Edinburgh this weekend. Unfortunately Saturday was rained off (wait a minute it was dry here, is this a first? WOW we actually had a better weather than someone for once!) So Arrayan and Pitufa went up, Pitufa whispering sweet nothings to Arrayan the whole trip. Ponies tied to opposite sides of the wagon!!!

Over half way....
Bridget foaled at 5.30 am, first impressions were that it was, well, rather "brown" but no, she has a speckly bum. So is this the last in the set - leopard, blanket and snowflake? Or is it a teansy, weansy blanket?!!! Bridget did her best "dying swan" impression but is proving to be a good mum. Three down, two to go!!

More Bannockburn than Flodden!!
Really good day at Border Reivers for their inter-hunt polo match. First off, bicycle polo, won by the Dumfriesshire and Stewartry mens team. The girls team was a little less competative and Will doing the commentary raised a great laugh asking them "would you like to play the under 12's" and after everyone had nearly wet themselves "was that a little patronising?"!!!!! Arrayan thought initially that bicycle polo was boring....But he soon perked up with the brutal ride offs, the severe injuries to bikes and the lying and the cheating!
After lunch, expertly BBQ'd by Bertie the club pro, there was the English Hunts vs Scottish Hunts match. Won for the third year running by Scotland.
The day was rounded up by dog racing (final race won by super beagle Lancer) and the trophy presentation.
Then back home and Amber thought she'd show off her moves.... "when I grow up I want to be a polo pony!"
