Thanks....

For all the Happy Birthday wishes.... as you can see, after the small incident with the stunt kite, where I may nearly of decapitated Mark... I have been bought a more "spectator friendly" version!

I had a quick shot of it this morning, but as you can see the hail was coming in sideways - apologies to all the ponies who are currently naked due to the "lovely weather we've been having"!!!!

We moved the old boys onto the spring grazing today and Hector immediately gravitated to the best bog ('tis the irish in him!!) He found a friend...

To go frog giggin' with!

Ellie was showing why she was such a good Dumfriesshire hunter - up to the hocks in mud!

... and doing her impression of a Camargue pony!

No rest for the wicked though and the polo ponies were out and doing a bit of work.

I jumped on Arrayan to cool him off and as I was holding a stick I was trying some back hands as we went along.  Mark helpfully walked behind us, kicking the ball back to my stick so I didn't have to keep turning.  All was going well, I cracked a good shot, Mark kicked it back... total home goal - right up Arrayan's backside.  I think its a fair testament to the Criollo temperament that we are not still heading for Uruguay!!!

Spring is in the air!!!

A beautiful spring day here, so the boys went out in the paddock for a bounce and a roll.  They have both been swabbed and have mares to cover this week so the breeding season is well and truly underway for 2009.  Need to get out with the clippers and scissors though - too much hair and general scruffiness!!

Getting big....

Two of the three furballs photographed today while going for walks, they are both molting furiously and Amber is about a foot higher behind so please excuse the scruffiness!

Gordon leaves home!

Gordon left us today to join Rebecca in Perthshire - he's still a little lean and a tiny bit scabby after his illness in September but he should now bloom and we look forward to updates and demand a summer coat photo in a couple of months!  A really sweet sensible foal so I'm sure he'll settle in well and grow into a super horse for Rebecca.
