Steve and Bob just sent me a recent photo of Jeannie, I think it would be fair to say she won't be brown when her summer coat comes through!!
I should add that "goggles" are often a sign of grey in appaloosas but this filly cannot be grey as her sire is tested and her dam is brown with no grey anywhere in her pedigree. I think its a cute look!!
Sad day as Marks ex showjumper and ex polo pony came down with colic suddenly this afternoon and left him no choice after owning him for 17 years.
He had been a bit of a lad in his day before turning into a grumpy old git in his twenties! The last couple of years we had used him as a teaser on the stud and he still thought he was the main man and herd boss.
Chip at nine months old, still molting furiously and the brown streaks are molasses, helpfully groomed on by the others. Slightly going through the yearling fuglies but still a very very nice little horse.
