I'm out of hibernation!

I haven't been out photographing much so it was nice to have an easy day at Threaplands with the Cumbria Like Minded Riders, all photos now online - here!

One of the livery ponies thought it was all a bit of a laugh...

And I caught up with Caroline and her spotty "Zaffi"  (who would make a lovely polo pony....!!)

Malambo... Not a good morning!!

Malambo wakes up from a particularly unpleasant dream where he thought he'd had his pockets picked...

Yip, furry plums missing, two stones lighter etc etc!

Unfortunately for him his destiny is to be a polo pony GELDING!

Arrayan foal for Border Reivers polo club!

Was really pleased to hear from Morag that Jamaica had safely produced a filly by Arrayan Numa for Border Reivers polo club.

Looks to be a good strong filly and as with all the other Arrayan foals, she was early!

Aguacero at three weeks old

Really pleased with how he is shaping up, athletic and very bold...

With a hint of cheekiness!!

A most excellent day!

Firstly Mark got ALL the paddocks rolled in April, in Dumfriesshire, without getting stuck!

Cherry didn't think it was worth getting up for...

Mule did her Tiananmen Square impression...

And Stela decided to chase it... (special needs?)

Then my Uber cool little buggy sailed through her MOT.  I love my car even if she does handle like a greased weasel on acid!

More mares turfed out!

The weather is still holding fine (I'm ignoring Met Check saying snow next week... surely its having a laugh?)  So the rest of the girls have gone out.

Tammy (Gordian Knot) and Stela (Chamfron Compostela)

Tammy again.

Chamfron Compostela at 23 months old (minimally marked appaloosa)

Ruby (Shesa Perfect Zippo)

Molly (Abelbeck)

Tammy (Gordian Knot)

Bridget (La Reine de Rome) giving Ruby her best confused look!

Just Erica and her foal and two yearlings to turn out, one of the yearlings will be going out "two stones lighter" but shhh don't tell him that!

Baggages!!!!

Molly and Ruby working out who's boss!  I may add these two have spent all winter happily in the barn with nothing but a plank of two by four separating them, sharing a water bucket and grooming each other.  Needless to say they are now happily grazing, not sure who "won" though.

Chip in Surrey!

Photo of Chamfron Chipita with her new big "brother" Lorna's reining horse, Tinsel Catnic.

Bitten the bullet!

Well there isn't a lot of grass in the back field but the sun is shinning so the geriatrics had their rugs off and out they went...

Hector is not so convinced I've called this right...

Chamfron Chipita away to her new home!

We delivered Chip to her new home with Lorna in Surrey yesterday.

Chip with her checklist as she came off the trailer - ten degrees warmer than Scotland?  *tick*  Grass as far as the eye can see?  *tick*  Electric gates?  *tick*  Pristine stable with hanging basket?  *tick*  Adoring fans?  *tick*

A happy foal!

Any one remember?

Pleased to hear Dorey has foaled down a bay filly by Bollin Terry for Kat.  Dorey stayed here while Kat took a year out in Australia and being very striking with distinctive blood marks on her face and shoulders she had her own group of fans!

Chamfron Aguacero out for a spin!

A quick spin in the paddock while the sun was out, divots flying everywhere, still rather wet under foot!
