Chamfron Sakura Away.

We delivered Sakura to her new home with Liorah Reid in West Kilbride this morning, this foal has never put a foot wrong in her life and needless to say loading her up was not a worry.  I walked into the trailer to shoo out five chickens and she came straight up behind me to help.  I'll miss her cheery wee spotty face but she's gone to a great home.

"Appeal to the Great Spirit"

Having a wee play around with Nico today with the aim of getting some calendar shots for next year (got the one I want, keeping it under wraps!!!)  There was a firm NE wind and I'm sure some of the shots were not pin sharp due to the fact Mark was shivering and I was laughing so hard the tears were rolling down my face.  The shots are based on the lovely bronze "Appeal to the Great Spirit."

... a wee out-take!!

Grubby white horse!!

Nico has a touch of mud fever on his near hind so we thought it might be easier to get him out of his stable under saddle.  I was told he was backed as a youngster...  Mark lept on him last night in a halter and a rug and he didn't bother so we put some tack on him today and off he went.

Chamfron Snow Goose Away.

Goose loaded perfectly in torrental rain but it soon brightened up and we had a fairly scenic run over to Stranraer with her today, mist rising off the trees and I think we spotted an Osprey at Lochmaben en route.  She met her two new boyfriends and seemed very settled by the time we left.  Very much looking forward to seeing her sleek and shiny and in the show ring in the spring and wish Chantelle all the best with her.

Chamfron Kukri - 40 Months Old.

Now riding away quietly after being backed earlier in the year, thankfully being a good lad as Gemma has just had her appendix out!!

Paloma weaned.

Paloma happily weaned and in with the gang, what a nice strong filly she is and we certainly can't fault Harmony who had an udder on her like a dairy cow when this filly was off her, she'd certainly been giving her plenty!!  Love the colour of this one, perhaps not the most professional of descriptions but she is burgandy with tan points in daylight!!!

Calendar Girls (and boy!)

The Chamfron ponies are becoming international calendar stars!!! Results from the "Sportaloosa Calendar Competition" are in - Photo of Chamfron Caramia in third, Chamfron Soutra Brae in fourth and Chamfron Westminster in fifth!! Really looking forward to seeing the calendars!  Results Here!

Chamfron Tizona - 16 Months Old.

Tizona has been off checking out the farm, sheep are dull, cows worth a good look and pigs are not to be trusted!!  Christine says she's 14.2 in front now and a little higher behind.

Enchanted Forest.

The forecast said the good weather was about to come to an end and spectacularly so, so we decided to shoot up to Pitlochry for the Enchanted Forest with Marks gran and got a great night for it.  The organisers had moved it back to Faskally wood after a lot of negative feedback on the show last year.  Lots of reflections on the loch and an added unicorn but we are obviously the oddities and definately prefered last year!!
