Shesa Perfect Zippo

Looking good having wintered with no rug and no hard feed (and very very little brushing!)

Arrayan Numa Away

Arrayan left this morning for his new home, its been an absolute privilege to own a stallion this good but I think he's going to really enjoy his new life.

Ombu very much at home!

Ombu is very much a member of the family with Pat and Richard, he just strolled in and made himself at home.

Lady Erica Away

Lady Erica has headed off to her new home with Lauren Piercy at Sannabay Sports Horses.   I am so pleased that this lovely kind mare has gone to a great home and she will be pampered.  This was our first attempt at a Selfie!

Officially Spring

Certainly feels like it today, we have new chicks, lots of activity behind the muck heap and the blossom is coming out on the trees.  It's the first time I've picked up the good camera since November and probably the first time I've just sat, not stressed, not over thought, just accepted that what will be will be.

Chamfron Chaco Away

Chaco headed off bright and early this morning, he has gone to Anne Smith in Ayrshire and will be kept busy hunting and playing a bit of polo.  He will love that!  No photos of him leaving as it was still dark but a couple of him meeting the rest of the gang and settling in from Anne.

Photo-Bomb!

When you buy a Chamfron the sense of humour comes free!  Bellini being a star on her second hack out.  Photo thanks to Jess.

La Reine de Rome and Gordian Knot Away

A quick spin in the pen for Bridget and Tammy before heading of to the sunny south with Ally.  Bridget pulled some shapes and rolled a lot, Tammy who is due to foal in May waddled round slowly and came over for hugs.  Mark bought these mares at Doncaster sales as weanlings and they are the best of friends.  Kind and easy in every way they deserved the best of homes and they got it, and to stay together... just wonderful!

Chamfron Kahlua - 46 months old

Pookie colouring out in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways but still such a super youngster.

Northern Lights

There seems to have been an amazing show of the Northern Lights over Scotland tonight, by the time I went out I think I'd missed the best of it but they were still visible to the naked eye.  I should of headed off somewhere more scenic but I was having a moment.

Standing Off...!

Chamfron Kukri has been busy the last few weekends, picking up rosettes both at Dressage and British Showjumping with Gemma - Eventing season is just around the corner!

Cherry at WD Appaloosas

Cherry happily strutting her stuff in her new home in Perthshire.  She had five foals for us, Confetti, Sakura, Morello and Hanami by Exbury Ghost and Chaco by Arrayan Numa.  Cherry's genetic make up is Ee AA PATN1patn1 and she is PSSM negative.

Chamfron Chaco - 10 months old

Photos would of been better if I'd thought to wait until the sun came over the trees, it was glorious in the yard!  I wonder when the ability to engage your brain returns?  I am now nine horses down since Christmas and everything just feels more peaceful and manageable, in the good moments there is even a certain pride that we've made it to March and we are all still standing.  Fatty is lean (oh the irony!) Ned looks like a badly stuffed teddy bear, my body is clearly waving the white flag of surrender (chest infection, eczema and even my teeth hurt) and I've been known to creep to my bed before 9pm but we are doing OK...

Santi meets Tuco

Just a few hours later and Santi is happily settled with his new big brother Tuco.

Chamfron Santiago Away

Santi has left for his new home to be an endurance horse with Emma Lang.  I've been so lucky to sell the mares and foals to such wonderful homes over the last few months, every one that goes makes life a little easier and they've all landed firmly on their feet!
