Lovely relaxing day out at the ApHC UK Cumbrian show run by Mannog Appaloosas.  I was the unofficial official photographer, it was great to catch up with everyone and to see Ozzie (who Mark broke in a couple of years ago) strutting his stuff.

Other people's pinks

I am basking in the warm glow of a Costa S'mores Frappucino and internet that speeds along and therefore able to add some updated pink ponies.  Firstly WD Where Eagles Dare (Arrayan Numa x Oor Eagle Eyed Cherry) who is turning into a lovely chunky monkey.  Chamfron Rosa says "A Criollo's work is never done" and I am told Stela's foal (Arrayan Numa x Chamfron Compostela) is just like her mum "very friendly and loves the boys"!!

Quick round up!

Foals are well, happily diddling about in a gang doing their own thing (mostly planning world domination).  Ned is studiously ignoring the storm behind him, the storms that have left me with internet of the world's most infuriating speed, not actually off just so slow it is useless but you still think it is a good idea to try and do some work.  Colada went showing this weekend, well behaved but the judge did comment on what a good doer she was!  The Cheshire girls, Pitufa and Yaya look well, happy and relaxed with John.

Chamfron Paloma - First Ridden Outing

Paloma and Alison were 2nd in their first walk trot test, not only was this Paloma's first time ridden away from home but it more than doubled the amount of ridden trot work she has done in her life!  Fantastic photo of them both looking very relaxed and happy thanks to KTJ Photography.

Not helpful!

The yearly foal photographing problem, in the bright sun they only like extreme close ups (and if you could get rid of the fly, scratch my butt and let me play with the lens hood).  Then they come to life when the sun comes down so that the photos irritate me with their graininess.  Cute though...

Great Yorkshire Show (and Pokemon)

Lovely day at the GYS today with Rose, Sharon and Amy.  We dodged the showers and even managed to capture a Pokemon on our travels!!

Fly By

The last two days this Lockheed C-130J Hercules ZH880 has cruised around the horses field (while they snoozed!)  I grabbed the camera today as she came straight back up the driveway looking magnificent  She is from the Royal Air Force 47 Squadron and is painted in a special 100th anniversary colour scheme.  I believe this was one of the aircraft that was used in the Queens's 90th Birthday flypast last month.
