Keep Moving Week 22

Been working in Dumfriesshire this week and have seen far more scenic parts than I did living there for twelve years.  Sadly the Travel Lodge was not one of them and it was the sad death of my fitness streak on my phone (141 days) - a long day and nothing but a busy main road at dusk, it just didn't seem a cunning plan.

Chamfron Colorado - Heading in to the hills (Part 2)

On Sunday they met Jane Dotchin from Northumberland, Jane who is 84 has been doing her annual long distance ride since 1972, riding 600 miles over 7 weeks.  Just her horse Diamond, her dog Dinky (who has funky front legs and travels in a saddle bag), and the bare essentials. She covers 24–32 km a day, fuelled by porridge, oat cookies, and cheese — all while navigating with limited vision and an eye patch.

Jessica and Chamfron Colorado (and friends) have now done 155 miles including through the Lairig an Laoigh and made it as far as Blair Atholl

Keep Moving Week 20

A walk along the Aberlady mile and around Gosford on Sunday followed by local walks for the rest of the week.  My summer of hugely long commutes has started and I am not sure how long I will keep up my exercise streak but the sunshine is helping at least.  Cow Parsley season for the boys!
