Keep Moving - Week 35

Sunday was spent crewing at Tentsmuir and Monday was back in the home office so just a lunchtime stroll along the railway line.  Quiet week with a short dander in Rosyth and a few strolls around old haunts in the Borders.  Managed to ride on Saturday, have put Cactus back in his Sidepull at least until his teeth have been done in October.  I need to get back to lessons with Lorraine, all the bad habits (leaning forward, looking down, chair seat... arghhhh, I'm disappointed in myself!) - he was very tense in canter but the transitions were better.

Chamfron Outings

The boys finished at Tentsmuir on the same heart rate, 48 at a speed of 12.21 kmph.  This gave them a speed category two, gold.  The only two in the class to finish on gold heart rates.  At the same time Chamfron Agata de Fuego was at Kirkton Manor ticking off another 30km ride.  Chamfron Pitufa and Osito are busy playing polo in Cheshire.

Keep Moving - Week 34

The horses moved on Sunday and other than a dander for both horses around the mahoosive arena on Monday our time has been spent getting organised.  I managed a quick spin around the Red Squirrel trail at Devilla during my lunch break on Tuesday.  On Thursday morning I wanted a stop before work at Amulree, with the works car I can't detour so I looked for anything on route and spotted the Corbenic poetry path, well that's a hidden gem.  Built and maintained by those that live in the Corbenic Community, it is the sort of place you could visit regularly and see something different each time.  Pretty sure the abandoned apiary was not an art installation.  Lunch time walk around Aberdour on Friday, visited the castle with work then walked from Silver Sands to Black Sands beach (tide was out, underwhelming!). Wee play in the arena on Saturday, boys have settled in beautifully.
