So we had a good showing of Chamfrons at the Scottish Thistle with Rebecca and Chamfron by Dand doing a 30km on the Friday and Kirstin with Chamfron Agata de Fuego doing the 30km on Sunday. Then on the Saturday Jessica and Chamfron Colorado took on the big ride, 160km (100 miles in old money) in one day. They started at 5am and finished just a few minutes after midnight. Despite my assurance that it was June in Scotland and would hardly be dark at all, I can confirm it was indeed very dark!! For safety we fronted her with the car on the road sections of the last loop and in turn we were fronted by a whole team of badgers leading the way. Tack off, two sloshes and straight in to vet with a 40/41 HR and a Best Condition award. In other Chamfron news Chamfron Almendra was fourth in her first British Eventing 100 (in her case it’s 100cm fences, not 100 miles!)
