Our second Historic Environment Scotland's "Historic Sunday" outing, taking advantage of getting free tickets to attractions on the first Sunday of the month with a trip to Edinburgh Castle. Lots to see and we happily pootled about for a couple of hours before we were ejected to let the paying punters come in for the later light show. Ponies and railway line strolls for the start of the week as the weather made the roads treacherous. Back out for six work miles on Thursday, not the most photographic weather but another cairn spotted. Then it was back to the gloom and rain, we prised ourselves off the sofa to admire the crochet work in Ormiston (are those wise men drunk?) and the Woods family Christmas lights in Prestonpans.
