The foals - end of July

Colin has two speeds - flat out galloping and flat out snoozing!

Su hasn't enjoyed the wet weather, so she'll be coming in for a break tonight and a bit of a fuss.

Just found these!

Just remembered that Sebastian sent us the following photos of Numa parading his Criollo's.  Pretty much blue roans as far as the eye can see!

The photos were taken by Rosita Moreno TagliabĂșe

Bonus offer on horse breaking....

Have your pony broken in this month and receive a free ferret!!!

Today we took Molly the Dales pony home and as Dick had lost his pet ferret several months ago we thought we would take him a new one!!

Now my tip of the day is going to be, when traveling a ferret in the car, do not trust novice ferret packagers!!  Ferret had half escaped by the bottom of the driveway so I turned the box over (clever huh) and put my foot gently on the top of the box.  Unfortunately my boot was damp and the next minute the box disintegrated, leaving me with a now grumpy ferret and a further thirty minutes to travel!

Thankfully between showing her the view, patting her and trying to keep her away from my jugular we did get her safely delivered to her new home.  Of course she was all sweetness and light when she met Dick who popped her down his sleeve and never had another bother with her.  Fickle ferret.

Ferret safely ensconced in cage we rattled Molly up and down the road to see some tractors and we hooned past her in the 4x4, needless to say she never flickered her ear.

Then we went for a lovely roast dinner (swap dinner for ferret, good deal I think)  I am a little worried that Mark seemed to be bonding with the ferret a little too much...

The ferret was clearly a mans ferret as it was a little too friendly with Sharon - think wearing a ferret as a furry earring - for pierced ears that is!!  I thought Sharon took it like a real lady, not one swear word passed her lips!

Monty - still living it up with spotties!

Recent photos from Karen of Chamfron Monte Carlo as a yearling (he was born early June 2008) as you can see he is still an honorary spotty horse, living it up in Perthshire.

I love the blond highlights!!

The side field.

All looking fat and shiny!

Muley!
