Frosty fluffy foals!

A Wee Update!

Still no internet at home, though there is light at the end of the tunnel! After four weeks of sitting, eating all evening I've even taken up jogging... (I am a woman who does not run my own length!) The foals have not been overly supportive, they don't worry an ounce about low flying jets, manic dogs and tractors but the sight of me lumbering up the driveway causes tails to go straight over backs and the fur balls to disappear over the horizon!!

The weather has become quite wintery at times so the retired horses are now getting rugged, strangely the ones that have become quite tricky to catch for worming and feet trimming were first in line at the gate when the rugs came out. I consider them utterly senile but still not stupid!

Polo pony Myrtle went home yesterday, having sadly scanned not in foal and shut down for the winter. In honesty both Mark and I were a little surprised but it was very late in the year and she'll be back in the spring instead. A lovely mare with the sweetest nature.

Argentina has cloned its first horse and of course its a Criollo! - Cloned Criollo News Article.

Aguacero two stone lighter...

Aguacero will get a shock the next time he pulls this move and realises something important is missing! He was so pleased to come in this morning, desperate to be in on any activity and to miss nothing and in exchange we gelded and microchipped him, poor wee soul!

The fluffies arrive!

"The fluffies" have come on their holidays and are now happily covered from head to toe in good Dumfriesshire mud and this time Rose didn't make me promise not to hog their manes (... evil cackle)!
