Well where did that year go?

Well, nothing to report, nothing at all - this has to stop, 2019 is where I kick myself up the backside and do something, anything!!

We've seen a few more Chamfron's change home this year, Compostela is with Fiona Chalk, Snow Goose is with Lynn McClure and Aguacero has been sold to a barrel racing home.

A few that had become strangers have popped up, it was lovely to get adult photos of Confetti and a ridden shot of Marco Polo.  There are photos I absolutely love this year, Firefly at Seacliff in front of the bass rock, Bombero on the polo pitch and more recently Tizona and Paloma meeting at TREC.

2018 has been a year where our wee family got smaller, with the loss of both Wif the whippet then just days later Mark's gran Peggy, little people with big hearts.  That is how I feel about 2018, it got smaller and less and that isn't good enough, 2019 will be back to saying "yes" to offers and opportunities, to travel more and to being better.  My life is trouble and stress free, it's generally happy and I am surrounded by really good people but that makes it oh so easy to be lazy!

Through the ears

Another spectacular view through Chamfron Colorado's ears.

Festive Chamfrons

Bellini's new rider Tom is proving to be a worthy entrant to our slightly crazy camp, I believe there was also reindeer socks.  Rosa is showing great restraint in not snacking on her festive embellishments and Toledo suits his Santa hat.  Santiago said no to his flashing antlers so his uncle Smudge (also Criollo) had to take one for the team and I can't help but feel Tigre isn't entirely sure about being out in public with his elf...

First with the white stuff

Rebecca's By Dand and Firefly are the first Chamfrons to be photographed in the snow this season.  Mostly just freezing rain here making the driveway and yard a skating rink, however I haven't been on my backside... yet!

The fat and the fluffy

Everyone looks to be going into winter well covered!  Rare footage of the miniature river otter captured...

Family Gathering!

Christine Harling with Chamfron Tizona and Alison Cheetham with Chamfron Paloma met at an Oxfordshire TREC competition today, I've seen evidence of plenty of rosettes including Tizona's first TREC win.

Remembrance Day

Melrose Abbey was one of nearly 150 Scottish buildings lit up red to commemorate Remembrance Sunday, this year marks the 100 year anniversary of the end of WW1.

Autumn Trail Cameras

Not much on the cameras this month, the Birdcam 2.0s are getting temperamental and I suspect their days are numbered.  The cheap as chips camera continues to take plenty of images so you can see what is heading up and down the track but the quality is poor.  No otters volunteering to do the Tango in front of them...

Through the ears...

After a short break Bellini is back in the dressage arena winning both her classes.  Chamfron Colorado and By Dand's ears are excellent at framing the last of the Autumn colours and mists.

Back to Inchmahome

Went back to Inchmahome Priory today with Mark and scattered his ashes along with some of Arrayan and Pitufa's tail hair.  A peaceful and beautiful morning if somewhat chilly.  On the way back we stopped in at the Kelpies just as the sun was setting, it looked suspiciously like snow falling on the hills behind!
