Chamfron Outings

Milano had his showing debut this weekend and pulled off two super double clears in the working hunter to came away as champion.   Chamfron Santiago has been happily hacking out and Chamfron Almendra finished fifth at the RAC Saddle Club one day event on 30.8 dressage and a double clear.  You'd never guess Rebecca's two are full siblings!

Keep Moving - Week 21

Monday I did our local woods which are still carpeted with bluebells.  Thursday I was out near Winchburgh with work so I did a few more miles along the Union canal and back along a track in the woods.  Saturday we had a wander around the woods at Lennoxlove which were lovely, the highlight was seeing the fields of Cadzow White Park cattle.  The cattle are the remaining fold descended from the white cattle that roamed wild in the Caledonian forests and have distinctive white coats with black muzzles, ears, feet and horn tips.  There were two girls that were rather more patchy and had the cutest calves!

Droning on

We have some historical photos of the house and distillery and wanted a modern one to complete the set so Brad flew his drone and captured a shot for us.  I swing between thinking a drone would be a great addition and knowing I'd probably get bored with it after a month or two.

Chamfrons this week

Chamfron Compostela has been out jumping confidently and making a good shape and Chamfron Firefly has been getting a sports massage carefully supervised by the boys.

Keep Moving - Week 20

An absolutely disastrous week for walking, however I saw some lovely bluebells at Bara Loch, a new post box topper in Ormiston, did a short stroll along the Union canal and welcomed our new "Flock to the Show" neighbours.

Chamfron Updates

Rebecca was organising a pleasure ride at Glendelvine when she spotted Chamfron Agata de Fuego at the third crewing point (the one with the great view!). Chamfron Nicobar is now Nine and Chamfron Ojo de Tigre has been showing that he can make a shape over cross country fences!

Old haunts and familiar faces

My plans to keep up the long walks this week fell by the way side, wiped out by work and generally too much peopling I managed nothing more than the odd local stroll.  On Saturday we did headed West to see some familiar haunts and faces for me and after a lovely hack I can confirm Chamfron Cactus Jack will be coming "home" again.  Lockerbie was strange, in some some respects it did feel very familiar but also slightly off kilter by being bathed in sunshine.
