The third visitor to the photo booth is the Nuthatch, sitting facing out is certainly his preferred option and he has no respect for the price of Niger seed!

Wildlife Camera in the garden
I have the wildlife cameras in the garden, the Birdcam 2.0 seems to have had a second wind and has taken some good photos of a fox that visits nightly. Does anyone else think she could be a pregnant vixen? Then I purchased a real cheap and cheerful trail camera to replace the original Ltl Acorn, the night time shots are hopeless but it is brilliantly easy to use and taking some nice shots during the day. I had seen the Jay in the trees beyond the garden but I hadn't realised it had braved coming in, I am hoping it is developing a taste for peanuts and will be convinced to use the photo booth later. There are at least three squirrels visiting, this one being easily identifiable and now known as "One Lug"!

Bird Photo Booth - First attempt!
I treated myself to the Bird Photo Booth 2.0 for my birthday after seeing some incredible Hummingbird and Cardinal photos on Facebook. While I'd be surprised to see those on the camera I am getting a real variety of birds in the garden and think they could all be keen to have their moment of fame. The first two to be papped were a Blue Tit and a Coal Tit and they posed beautifully.

Chamfron Firefly - XC Schooling
Glorious sunny day today so I nipped up to the Marine Tellier XC Clinic at Foresterseat to see Chamfron Firefly having her first school round cross country fences and thoroughly enjoying herself.

Today in the garden...
I put a peanut feeder out and for the first week it swung quietly, unloved and unvisited and then they came... Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Robin, tiny little Wrens, a Treecreeper, a Jay and at least a pair of Squirrels. The birdhouse has had some viewings though I think it is currently still available to rent.

Not a hardship...!
Walking the dog is far from a chore when the views are this good on your doorstep. Just one field over from the cottage and you look down on to the Tweed and can clearly see Melrose Abbey. The ground is so much drier and the weather so much better, we both have a renewed spring in our step!
WOW!
Four year old Chamfron Bellini's first ridden outing. Natalie is doing an incredible job with this filly.
