One of those lovely crisp Autumn days, the fields were white this morning but we have bright blue skies and sunshine. The sloes are like bunches of grapes this year and I am debating if they are needing to come in for a wee soak in some gin.

Chamfron Tarantella and Beltane Fire weaned
Ella and Ethel were weaned last night and are settling down nicely. Although we've had a decent spell of dry weather it is starting to feel quite autumnal and it is nice to be getting the foals in for a bit of pampering.

Chamfron Agata de Fuego Away
Aggie has left this morning, off to be an endurance pony with vet Kirstin Miller, I think this will be the perfect home for her.

Chamfron Calandria Away
Callie has left early this morning with Seth Douglas, she is going to Caroline Clarry and joins Almendra, Nicobar, Bombero and her full brother Milano. She is a very easy going foal and happily headed off in the dark and the rain after being promised it was sunnier in the south!

Off for a hack
Good drive up to Rebecca's this morning, stunning sunrise so I took a wee snap while I wrestled with the Sat Nav. Then off out a hack on the full siblings Chamfron By Dand and Chamfron Firefly where we admired the autumn colours through the rain, peered through the drizzle at the view point and returned soggy but happy.

Midnite Harmony Away
Harmony has gone off to her new home with Julie today. A nice mare, tough as old boots, she has bred us three great foals, Paloma, Milano and Calandria and never been a moments bother.

Fun day yesterday helping with a tour of Swedish farmers visiting WD Appaloosa stud, my section was Karen's imported stallion Atta and the foaling boxes. Spider the boxer looks disappointed as she was stopped from boarding the coach as the tour moved on to Edinburgh!

Chamfron Zamba - First outing
Yearling Zamba had her first showing outing on the weekend, she won all her classes and was Reserve Champion in hand. The judge was very impressed with her temperament but then Ally's youngsters have the expert tutelage of Merlin the super star Shetland!
