Calendar Girls (and boy!)

The Chamfron ponies are becoming international calendar stars!!! Results from the "Sportaloosa Calendar Competition" are in - Photo of Chamfron Caramia in third, Chamfron Soutra Brae in fourth and Chamfron Westminster in fifth!! Really looking forward to seeing the calendars!  Results Here!

Chamfron Tizona - 16 Months Old.

Tizona has been off checking out the farm, sheep are dull, cows worth a good look and pigs are not to be trusted!!  Christine says she's 14.2 in front now and a little higher behind.

Enchanted Forest.

The forecast said the good weather was about to come to an end and spectacularly so, so we decided to shoot up to Pitlochry for the Enchanted Forest with Marks gran and got a great night for it.  The organisers had moved it back to Faskally wood after a lot of negative feedback on the show last year.  Lots of reflections on the loch and an added unicorn but we are obviously the oddities and definately prefered last year!!

Started Weaning.

The first two foals, Sakura and Rufina are weaned and were ready to go into the pen together.  Unfortunately that meant moving all the hay to get to the straw, these big square bales and the one spike on the tractor isn't a match made in heaven.  Its never a good moment when the bale is swinging away and then pop, pop, POP, all the strings give way and the hay is littering the yard, its like watching ten pound notes floating off down the driveway.  So a temperary "stop the swivel spike" was added, never let it be said that only Mr Grey knows what to do with cable ties, eh?!!!  Anyway, it turned into a not bad night and the foals are happy as larry in their new abode.
