Recent Outings

Rebecca has been out showjumping with Chamfron Firefly, the 85cm class was previously out of Rebecca's comfort zone but they nailed it for second place.  Lovely photos with thanks to Chris Dundee photography.  Jessica took Colorado out for a 22km ride, including loading and towing for the first time on her own and Natalie had a BD outing with Bellini, her first outing after having a pacemaker fitted.  Brave pants all round!

Very little to report

It's been a dry and mild January interspersed with high winds, you walk in the woods and every day the landscape changes, big trees fall and well worn paths vanish under a bed of needles and dry leaves, it is oddly disorientating.  In theory as of the 1st of February we moved back to hybrid working, in reality the office is closed for renovation so it's still the long commute to the spare room in the morning.

Big views and small ponies!

Getting the steps in over the weekend.  We had a wander up Blackford Hill today, it was busy with walkers and dogs admiring the views over Edinburgh, the castle and Arthur's Seat prominent.  Despite being brought up in Edinburgh I'd never been before.  I sat on Spidey for the first time in three months, on his return he had a chat with Stan about his recent 18-30's holiday...!

Pockets of frost and some dramatic changes to the landscape after Storm Arwen but lovely bright blue skies this morning.  Arthur has a nice log to park his backside on!

Hogmanay at Holly Hut

Three very relaxing nights in Holly, where Craig made Pizza, I did a lot of laying about in the copper bath, we played cards and went a couple of walks.  We took another trip up to Hareshaw Linn where Storm Arwen had fairly upped the poo sticks game and we stopped off and peered at the Tooson Lime Kiln.
