Back to the beach

Colorado shows new pal Domino the joy of a trip to the shore, fabulous photos by Jackie Pringle.

You had to be there!

Keep Moving - Week 45

Took advantage of Historic Environment Scotland's "Historic Sundays" where you can get free tickets to attractions on the first Sunday of the month through to March.  Craig was between night shifts so we stayed local and went to Tantallon where the sun was shining and the views were clear.  I then clocked twenty three miles at work Monday to Thursday (with plenty of inclines!)  Saw some new bits of the Scottish Borders including Soutra Aisle (can't find any information on the cairn though).  On Friday I decided to have an office day and took Spider for a quick whizz round the block at lunchtime and then on Saturday I had a nice trip into Edinburgh for lunch with Fiona and Viv.

A good week for Chamfrons

Chamfron Colorado is back in work so I expect a return of the awesome hacking photos.  Also some great news this week about Chamfron Rufina, her young owner had her first sit on her and was walking and trotting her sweetly round the indoor before riding back to her stable.  She's been a very lucky pony to land in a home who are willing to out the time, money and effort into her.  More lovely news was seeing Christine back on Tizona, an unfortunate slip on her other pony saw a snapped Tibia and Fibula earlier in the summer (If you are going to do it, may as well do it properly!!)  Chamfron by Dand's endurance milage is now over 1000 km and Chamfron Agata de Fuego was at the Tinwald Bonfire ride where they won the Pleasure pair class.  Chamfron Ojo de Tigre was up at my yard this morning and was second in his dressage class and Chamfron Firefly had a lovely day out at Glamis Castle for the blessing of the hounds and St Huberts day drag hunt.

Keep Moving - Week 44

Boys both up to the main yard for the saddler on Monday, Kevin rightly pointed out I need to take the hand break off on both of them.  Both fitted with narrower ("narrower" being a relative term for Spider) bars for the winter.  This was followed by a week at my desk and just a lunch time storm along the railway track in odd dry (ish) spells and one hack on Saturday.  October has been a complete wash out on the walking front!
