Keep Moving - Week 34

The horses moved on Sunday and other than a dander for both horses around the mahoosive arena on Monday our time has been spent getting organised.  I managed a quick spin around the Red Squirrel trail at Devilla during my lunch break on Tuesday.  On Thursday morning I wanted a stop before work at Amulree, with the works car I can't detour so I looked for anything on route and spotted the Corbenic poetry path, well that's a hidden gem.  Built and maintained by those that live in the Corbenic Community, it is the sort of place you could visit regularly and see something different each time.  Pretty sure the abandoned apiary was not an art installation.  Lunch time walk around Aberdour on Friday, visited the castle with work then walked from Silver Sands to Black Sands beach (tide was out, underwhelming!). Wee play in the arena on Saturday, boys have settled in beautifully.

Keep Moving - Week 33

Back to glorious sunshine and feeling like a functioning human on Sunday, Cactus ridden in the morning (repeatedly told he was very handsome by passers by!) and then a walk along to the Roslin gunpowder factory. Managed another hack on Monday evening and a lunchtime walk around Pittencrieff park on Wednesday, I checked out the Peacock sanctuary, that is Skout sunbathing!  Cactus went to pole clinic on Friday, he was a little bit bright to start with, we'd both reacted badly to stings this week, he'd had a dose of steroids and had the wind under his tail but no one died.  Then back out for pole clinic two on Saturday!

Keep Moving - Week 32

Started the week with a walk around Yellowcraigs in the morning and a hack on Cactus in the afternoon.  Busy week at work, managed a few lunchtime walks including around Dunkeld, saw the Birnam Oak (and its Sycamore pal).  Friday and Saturday were ridiculously windy again, only managed a stroll along the Aberlady mile.  I knew what time the Red Arrows were due, I knew roughly what direction they would come from and still I was stood there thinking "oh I wonder what that noise is?" as they went directly overhead!  The vanished from sight in seconds, heading to Edinburgh Castle to do a flypast at the tattoo.

Chamfron outings

Chamfron Ojo de Tigre was second in his class at the Scottish TREC Championships, this qualifies him for the British champs which seem to be conveniently also in Scotland!  Almendra has been out at BE90 and Colorado (and Domino) are admiring themselves in Neptune's Mirror.

Keep Moving - Week 31

Hacked out with Libby on Sunday, walked home along the railway line on Monday and hacked again on Tuesday.  Very short hack on Wednesday night, pinged a hoof boot off early on!  Thursday I took a long lunch between appointments and went for a walk around Calais Muir woods near Dunfermline and on Saturday we had a nice afternoon catching up with Sonya and wandering around Hopetoun Horse Trials in the sunshine.
