New name!

I have been Vetoed on "Dotty" so this little person is now "Chamfron Chipita" - named after Chipita Rodriguez who was executed and now haunts the banks of the Nueces River.  The links in her pedigree being Ruby's sire is "Perfect Execution" and the foal is by "Exbury Ghost" and perhaps more tenuously Ruby came from Texas!!  Read the ghost story here - Chipita

Malambo at five days!

Also out in the big field today, the images are not pin sharp (I know!  No excuse!!) Having a good bounce.

Viscacha at four days.

Viscacha goes out in the big paddock, she is the spitting image of her dam but built like a mini tank!!  Rides off already...!!

"Dotty" - Number 4 is a girl!

Another early baby!  Our first by Exbury Ghost for 2009 out of the imported quarter horse mare Shesa Perfect Zippo (Perfect Execution).  A chestnut filly with mostly tiny spots a big blaze, three socks and partial blue eyes.  Dope on a rope personality that is becoming typical of Ruby's foals.

Last Arrayan foal for 2009!

Three days after his first foal for 2009, visiting mare from last year, Giraffe, foals down Arrayan's last foal for 2009, a chestnut filly at 6am this morning.  My records have a estimated due date of the 7th of July so obviously these Criollo's don't take much cooking!  Thanks to Kath for the photo.

Chamfron Viscacha - bay filly by Arrayan out of the thoroughbred mare Gordian Knot (Tammy) I think this one is going to give Tammy the run around!!

While obviously we are pleased with all the foals I have to admit I am absolutely smitten with the colour of Arrayan's first foal.  The first photo is mid shake!!
