Chamfron Nicobar away

Prickle, the very last of our Exbury Ghost foals has gone to join Bombero and Milano with Caroline in Oxfordshire.  I was imagining him looking out the trailer and thinking "I've arrived, a wee spotty Lord of the Manor, if only those Criollos could see me now…" followed by "Oh damn, they're here"!  Bombero and Milano were happily mugging Caroline for kisses and attention and looking very settled already.

Chamfron Kukri - Arena Eventing

Nipped down to Blackdykes to watch Chamfron Kukri at the arena eventing today, just starting to feel like spring at times and they did a mean hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows and a flake (I'm down to two pairs of jeans I can do up, I have no idea how this has happened!)  Jackson was jumping well and looked fit and ready for his BE debut early next month.

Chamfron Bombero and Milano away

Alf and Milano were keen to leave us this morning and fairly leapt on the trailer to Oxfordshire, five and a half hours later and they were safely ensconced in Caroline's stables and preparing for their new lives as polo ponies (with a bit of dressage thrown in!)  Please excuse the unswept yard and the "we are slobbing about with legs pointing in all directions" youngsters - we are not morning folk!

Chamfron Colorado - First pleasure ride

Update from Chantelle today "So proud of Cody today at his first endurance ride - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!  Beautiful scenery and fantastic company.  14km in an hour and he was wanting to go round again!  Straight in, saddle off and his heart rate was 38 the exact same as before we set off.  What an amazing horse."  He looks quite chuffed with himself!

Shopping!

The poultry auction was packed today but I am polishing my halo, very restrained purchasing (we left before we were tempted by peacocks!!)  Three black german Langshang bantams, two Orpington crosses, three Silkie Light Sussex crosses and a large fry up for Mark.

We also have a second trail camera, a Wildscapes Birdcam 2.0 that has a incandescent flash, meaning it takes colour photos at night.  I've popped it in the middle of the wood and not near a set so that the badgers don't feel like they are being stalked by the paparazzi every time they leave home.

Relaxed!

The youngsters (Bombero, Milano, Nicobar and Rosa) were watching my mucking out this morning, they felt I should be moving faster and they felt their supervising duties were soooo tiring!

Looking really well in her winter woolies, thanks for the photo Jane.
