Keilder

We came home via Kielder and took the forest drive, twelve miles of mostly unmade road and apparently one of England's highest roads.  Trip advisor has some brilliant reviews from several people who did not enjoy it one little bit "we went an average of 12mph" "actually frightening" "booked car into Kwik fit for underbody check after holiday"!!  We also met some new furry friends, exmoor ponies on conservation grazing and an Indian Scops Owl.

Looks like a wonderful trip! Must have been a very rough road!

I don't think it would have phased you at all - it wasn't tarmac but it was perfectly drivable on, no potholes you'd lose the truck in!

Well we do have pretty crappy roads here. My truck is pretty much out of commission but the Subaru takes me most places and most of my local roads are gravel!
Have a great weekend!
