Relentless rain again at the start of the week, while I strongly believe horses are better for living out 24/7 in a herd on a decent acreage I have questioned my sanity this Autumn. The field is absolutely saturated to the point sink holes have appeared and the ponies are filthy, though surprisingly bright and cheery. I've done a few lunchtime walks along the railway line but otherwise its been a very sedentary week. We did head out to the Botanics on Saturday night and if you got over needing a mortgage for a (very drinkable to be fair) mulled wine it was a nice relaxing evening, not crowded at all.
