This time last year we were in Iceland, this year we are closer to home but still admiring waterfalls and hunting aurora. We stopped on route at Hindhope Linn, then admired Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force with plenty of water at them all. Then there was some touristing with a trip to Ingleborough Cave, Jervaulx Abbey and the slightly surreal Swinton Druids Temple which is an elaborate folly from the late 1700s or early 1800's and not pre-historic. We are staying in Middleham with it's fabulous gallops and hundreds of racehorses.
