Dressage ponies
Bellini is reserve champion at Elementary level in online dressage and after time off recuperating from injury she went out and competed in her first Medium test with Immy Tolley, gaining 66% and fourth place (she was also second in the elementary with 69%). Milano was out at Cherwell today doing a lovely relaxed test for 67.3% and fourth place.
Keilder
We came home via Kielder and took the forest drive, twelve miles of mostly unmade road and apparently one of England's highest roads. Trip advisor has some brilliant reviews from several people who did not enjoy it one little bit "we went an average of 12mph" "actually frightening" "booked car into Kwik fit for underbody check after holiday"!! We also met some new furry friends, exmoor ponies on conservation grazing and an Indian Scops Owl.
Skylark
Our third trip to Hesleyside, this time to their utterly spectacular "Skylark" - a cabin nestled in the trees, it somehow manages to be both massively imposing and to blend into it's surroundings. Taking glamping to another level, it is pure luxury and the perfect spot to kick back, relax and eat pizza of course. Hard to come back down to earth!
