Another great update on Tizona from Christine and some photos showing her colour change from her winter coat in January and shedding out in April. Christine said she'd grown in to her rawhide bridle and well, it would of been churlish not to have tried her saddle on too wouldn't it? Needless to say Tizona wasn't at all bothered by it.

Petnanny Vans!
Last year I did some photography for Caroline Howlett, aka Petnanny and these are her vans now dashing around the streets of Pelton, Stanley and beyond!
I will still be doing jobs like this but have decided to stop doing event photography for the time being. All albums will be archived over the next few days and the chamfron photos website will vanish in a puff of smoke... just as soon as I work out how to do it!!

Another glorious day...
David had been out and put a new set of wheels on Arrayan during the week so we went out a hack in the spring sunshine. We watched the lambs gambolling and a tree rat (grey squirrel) dashing through the undergrowth, even had a sneaky canter up the grass verges. Ned and Bugsy have been turned out for the summer with the usual bucking and farting going on, so wish Ned had been a mare, he is the most lovely mover with a super front and cracking clean legs at 22 years old.

Spring?
The forecast is good for the weekend so we've been making the most of it. Tigger has gone out for a day in the field, so he can be admired by the rest of the gang. Yolanda and Kahlua have been out for some handling (Kahlua looking a little bit scrawny but she moves like a dream). Then Arrayan out for a bounce about (is it wrong to look at a horse and think "damn you're handsome"?!)

Chamfron Ojo de Tigre - 36 hours old.
Just twenty minutes in the paddock for a leg stretch as there is a bitterly cold wind. Saw his first (very) low flying jet!

First foal for 2013
Fatima foaled down a chestnut roan colt by Arrayan Numa at 4am this morning. This cute little Criollo will be named "Chamfron Ojo de Tigre" otherwise known as Tigger!
