This is a great photo - Chamfron Rufina back home after a fortnight at the Edinburgh Vet school. She stood on a nail on the 23rd of March which penetrated the navicular bursa, scraped the navicular bone and put a hole in her tendon. She was operated on that night and although she initially did well she started to show signs of infection on the 28th and was operated on again. Now home with Lisa, sound and on no medication we can only hope she continues to go from strength to strength. Vets commented on how tough she is and how good she has been to treat *hard as nails Criollo* (bad taste pun intended) Very lucky horse to have owners who did everything to give her a chance.
