The Black Hill - Earlston
The Black Hill over looks the cottage and I've often photographed it as it changes colour through the year. Its been a glorious day here and as my days off had so far been a bit unproductive (example "I've finished work early on Saturday night I will clean the house" swiftly morphed into "Oooooo Eurovision" pours gin and tonic and looses the next three hours watching mindless TV!) I thought I should take some exercise and head up to the summit. Easy to find, easy to park and with a good path all the way it was a civilised thirty minute stroll to the top and on a night like this the views of the Borders are surely unrivalled, the wind farm at Soutra being easily visible and the Eildons ever prominent.

Chamfron Confetti - Seven years old
Really pleased to get an update and adult photos of Chamfron Confetti who headed off to the Black Isle as a yearling in 2012. Now owned by Jacqueline Smith who says
"She's doing great, she's now called Koda, I have been working with her for the past 3 years but got the great opportunity to own her a few weeks ago. She's now my forever pony so wont be going anywhere, love her to bits. She loves attention and will let you know if she's not getting enough."

Typical Nico youngster then!

Chamfron Colorado - Beach trip
Jessica and Colorado had a trip out to Silver Sands of Morar, the beaches are famed for their white sand and views out to the small isles of Rhum, Eigg, Muck and Canna. Certainly fabulous happy snaps!

Enrichment...
... Or grumpy badgers? Crawford had put some food out of badger reach for the fox, the badgers do not believe this is either fair or sporting!!

Sioux - Colour Shifting
Kayreen Jones's Exbury Ghost filly Sioux, who is out of a Dales mare, winning the Appaloosa class at Rockrose yesterday. I find Sioux interesting as she appears to be an example of Lp colour shifting on a black base, there is no dun, cream or silver in this filly's pedigree! Photos by Sinclair Photography.
